I might get one someday... if I can find a way to afford it along with my hobbies. And the new (to us) car. Etc., etc., etc.

If one has not read up on the new Apple watch, it makes Dick Tracy look like a Luddite. Aside from a stroke inducing cost of $400-$500, it has some neat stuff some of us here might appreciate. These include heart rate monitoring (blah), an built in EKG function, A-fib detection and what sounds like a "help me, I've fallen and I can't get up" function. Seems if you drop over and don't move for 60 seconds, the watch can call someone that cares or in Robo's case the local Second Source Golf Shop. No idea if that comes with a monthly monitoring fee, but that feature alone might justify a few hundred bucks to beautify the wrist.

Now if the world could survive past 2020, there is no telling what the apple watch and its competition might be offering. An ICD on a wrist?

Lauren my daughter got an iwatch just a short while ago. It does heaps of stuff, but this one looks like it is geared to the fitness fanatics and us who have problems with our hearts. She gets her pulse rate etc. but none of the other stuff. She got it with a deal with our Telco company, so maybe they are clearing out the old model. Worth checking if you don't want all the features, you may get the previous model cheap.

I’ve been wearing an Apple Series 1 watch ever since my daughter upgraded to a Series 3. I like it more than I thought I would. However I’m not jumping out to get the Series 4 just because of the price. FitBit, Garmin and others have some pretty nice watches with similar capabilities for a lot less money.
MI 1/21/11; SCA's 2/3/11 and 2/4/11
I have a Boston Scientific Teligen ICD and a Boston Scientific Promus stent,
I guess my cardiologist is sort of a BS kind of guy.

I would love to get one but I work in a food manufacturing facility and we aren't allowed to wear watches. Bummer

I haven't worn a watch, or necktie in 11 years 7 months and 14 days. Oops make that 15 days, and 4.5 hours it's past the witching hour. I don't miss either. What's the fascination? I can always get on here and ask you guys what time it is
