OT: Things to consider (no politics)

While I do own some shares of Apple, the following is provided simply as information and is neither endorsement or sales pitch:
The FDA has cleared the first medical device accessory for the Apple Watch, made by AliveCor, whose CEO is former Google+ boss Vic Gundotra. The accessory is AliveCor's KardiaBand electrocardiogram (EKG) reader, a sensor that pairs with an app and can detect abnormal heart rhythm and atrial fibrillation (AFib). The user touches the sensor, which snaps into a slot on the watch's band, to get an EKG reading in 30 seconds. The recording can then be sent to a doctor.

Doctors Vexed by Patient's Highly Unusual Tattoo
“We’ve always joked about this, but holy crap, this man actually did it,” Florida physician Gregory Holt tells the Atlantic. Holt and a team of emergency room doctors were preparing to treat a 70-year-old man who was brought into Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital unconscious, with septic shock, difficulty breathing, and a high amount of alcohol in his system when they discovered a tattoo reading "Do Not Resuscitate" on his chest. The "Not" was underlined, and the man's signature was tattooed below.

So you really think England's health care sucks?
You'll Be Able to Buy Viagra Over the Counter for the First Time Ever—In the U.K.
The U.K. has become the first place in the world to allow Viagra, U.S. drug giant Pfizer’s mega-selling erectile dysfunction treatment, to be sold over the counter and without a prescription. Men seeking out the little blue pill will be able to buy Viagra Connect—which has the same central ingredient as regular Viagra—for about £19.99 for a pack of four pills and £34.99 for an eight-pack at the pharmacy.

I read something about the DNR tattooed on the mans chest and signed..but it said in the article the drs were reluctant to follow it..turned out they did..but mostly because they found out he had actually signed a regular DNR
I think.....Therefore I am.!!!!!

On the Viagra news, sounds like that would be about $6 US a pill. Here in the land of the free, home of the brave, the price with a prescription is like a mere $65 US (less if you cut the tablet in half). So who in England wants to be my pen pal?

The Tattoo wouldn't work in AZ, state law requires a DNR to be on an orange background to be legal. Who's the genius who came up with that stupid idea, must own a lot of orange printer paper.

RoughRider, sorry I'm not a Brit or your type...check with Colin

now be nice. That thought crossed my mind, but in deference to Al (the ....one) I restrained myself. MRAG IS TRYING VERY HARD TO REFORM HIS IMAGE, and even included (no politics) in the thread title. So ~
