S-ICD Bruising

Post by rugmankc » April 14th, 2019, 8:38 pm

How long did it take for you bruising discoloration to go away over your S-ICD implant site. Been 4 months and I would say 50% better. Still about the same size, just lighter. But, at this rate it could be 8 months.

Thanks

I still had a small amount of discoloration 9 months later. I remember the scar was well healed and I took a picture of it. I just looked at it and still see some faint bruising above the scar. I think it is dependent on the individual and perhaps how the EP had to place the unit.

Thanks ricatiga,

It is slowly getting lighter and the darkness above and below the scars is also disappearing. Just wasn't expecting it to take so long around the implant.

Your reply has me feeling better--- >:)
