 ELA ICD
Hi,
I had my Guidant ICD replaced 2 days ago by an European brand ICD : ELA from the Sorin group (Ovatio DR). They kept the original lead and added a second one.
At the hospital where I was treated (one of the top ranking Paris hospital for heart problems) they are fond about this ICD. Is it in use in the States and does anyone has an experience with it?

Stay well

I've heard of the brand. I don't know of anyone in the United States who has one implanted.

 Re: ELA ICD
I had an ELA Ovatio DR implanted about 7 months ago. So far, no problems and no shocks. My Cardiologist likes the ELA because he says its algorithm protects against unnecessary therapy. I see you've had yours for 2 years (since the date of your post). Any problems?
