Not sure what it did because I ended up falling asleep :(

And my son corrected me saying it was a sand storm from the Sahara Dessert.
Sand might be worse than mere dust making mud. If lightning struck the sand it might turn it all into glass!

Re: o/t just a quick question

...Did you hear about the dust cloud heading our way all the way from Somalia? It’s supposed to hit me tomorrow. But since it’s supposed to thunderstorm, we won’t see the dust but we should see a hazy sky because it’s going to mix in with the rain. That will be my excitement for the week. :runn: So...

Re: OT-WHAT DO YOU DO TO KEEP YOU SANE (Your hobby)

Trucker RON , I saw the Space X Falcon Rocket launch this morning while I was walking. It was bright orange going up and then the sky turned blue like daybreak. I could see something coming back down. The sky stayed lit up in that area for a while with three rings of clouds around it. Having read t...

Re: OT -- Just for a laugh

I used to like the Weekly World news rag, almost always with a headline about aliens or some kid raised by wolves, and highly visibly placed right in the check-out lanes of the supermarket. My wife used to make a point of getting me a couple of issues for Christmas, and could listen to me laugh whi...

OT -- Just for a laugh

Here in the US we have the National Enquirer for outlandish tales. We also have The Onion online. I think this online paper of the UAE, The Pan-Arabia Enquirer Is funnier than both of them: http://www.panarabiaenquirer.com/wordpress/chaos-on-saudi-roads-as-women-drivers-accused-of-obeying-traffic-la...

Re: Pre existing conditions and insurance

Ok, so, let's return to posts regarding how to deal with the situation as individuals. No more posting of opinion pieces, hit pieces, or responses to them. Tales of woe are allowed as this board exists, among other things, as a place where we can let off steam, whinge (sounds so much better than whi...

Hello All. My ICD was implanted a little less than 2 weeks ago due to a sudden episode of Vfib. I'm 46 years old and had a mitral valve replacement in 2017 due to rheumatic disease. The whole situation is very scary and I'm not sure what to do or expect. The doctors said that I could go about my no...

Re: Who knows about Niacin (flush free)

Did you mean HDL, the supposedly healthy cholesterol? From what I've observed over the past 30+ years of warnings that my LDL levels were too high and the HDL levels too low, what doctors really know and can predict regarding cholesterol and cardiovascular problems isn't perfect. At the time of my S...

Re: Let's Talk Shingles

I'm pretty certain that anyone who has had shingles or knows someone that has, has already rushed out to get this new vaccine. For anyone else that has a god issue of likely immunity, good luck to you, stay home, I'm sure you won't get shingles. Meanwhile, I'm now due for my second shot and hopeful...

Yesterday stacey and I arranged all her kids and my grandkids to get married......so that could be a great activity planning the weddings hehe Wedding planning? To me that's a nightmarish activity!
