Re: So who is ordering the Apple Watch?

Now that is a toilet. The trouble would be that you would never want to get off of the thing. So much so that when you eventually did, you'd have such bad pins and needles, that you would fall over over and probably smash your nice new shiny expensive watch on the sink (or whatever they are called o...

Re: So who is ordering the Apple Watch?

Heart monitors, however they come are not really a good thing. Afterall, for those of us with ICD's, what are we going to do anyway if the thing picks up some squiffy heart activity? Nothing, it'll either pass or the ICD will intervene either by pacing or a zap. Many of us will be unconsious in a he...

Colin, you are not supposed to mention Trump on the site.
Nothing to do with him, this is real here in the UK though. Someone it seems has been spanking the wrong kind on Monkey.

Re: Teenage Son to be fitted with ICD

Glad he is currently ok. What caused it could be all manner of different things; Long QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome, myocardial scarring etc etc etc. It could be anything. Also be prepared for them to turn round and say that they don't know what caused it. However, if it does come back as having a g...

Re: The drug Amiodarone

I've been taking 200mg of it for about 16 months now. Seemingly it is the only thing that stops the sudden VT and onto VF episodes. I've had two sets of tests done so far and thankfully all clear. But taking it is like having a dark shadow always looming over you. Damned if you do and damned if you ...

You went out for a spin on a large and powerful motorbike and put another helmet on top of your helmet, Russian doll style?

Re: o/t Life expectency and stuff

I just did that quack-pot quiz and it said 79.

The funny thing is I have already croaked it at 34, 42, 43 (twice) and 46 (twice).

As good as these ICD's are I think the odds are against me getting to 79.

Re: Issues again

Leah, Only you know your body and how it reacts and is reacting. You also have a lot of experience having had an ICD since 2008 (looking at the date you joined here) so you know when things are not right. Can you not take anyone with you to the docs who will help press home how badly you are feeling...

Re: My Arrhythmia diary.

Another six months, another check. The pacing check thing is really becomming a thing for me, I really totally and utterly hate that feeling. For me it feels like I'm in VF just about to hit the floor. Battery is showing 8 years remaining now, exactly as expected from the last checkup. The ICD will ...
