Re: St Judes Battery Performanc Alert

Hmmmm I had a battery deplete on me in 2010, St. Jude lithium ion bridging caused the failure. St. Jude paid for the entire replacement back then and I didn't find out until 2011 what the cause was. Since then I'm on my second St. Jude device which has been identified as being as a "recalled" device...

Re: Semi OT: Social Security Disability Benefits

My doctor has written a letter that says "I can't work and I won't be able to work" Problem is I have been through the appeals process and am now waiting on a hearing , where according to my lawyer, 70% of the cases are decided. The big issue here is that we currently have 1 judge, yes 1 judge heari...

Re: Sweating after food

Chrissy, I too sweat after meals and after showers, seems anything that gets my heart pumping a bit more will bring it on. I've always attributed it to the digestive process, our bodies start working to get that food energy. I too will wake up with no appetite and could easily go to dinner without e...

Re: Semi OT: Social Security Disability Benefits

Hi just real quick. I've been denied twice. I have no single condition that qualified me for immediate Social Security benefits. Since my wife works we earn approx. $1000 over the minimum to qualify for SSI, so I was denied. Also because when I was young I invested in a cabin in the mountains, I'll ...

Re: Shock

Al, I completely understand. I learned after being shocked I was very hypersensitive to everything my heart and body was doing. At the time I didn't understand that thus was PTSD manifesting itself in me. Since I'd never had a panic attack my whole life, I was not sure how to deal with it. Luckily f...

Re: Ventricular Ablation

That is good news Eric. Did you change, drop, add any drugs to your regimen before or after the procedure? How long did the procedure take? Al, Yes I had to stop all my beta-blockers several days before the procedure along with my Blood Thinner. As far as the procedure goes _ I found out more news....

Re: Doctors visit

Chrissy, I too am struggling right now with side effects of Sotalol. I am tired all the time (like a zombie), Flushing, feel faint, cannot seem to do anything well and it all basically started with the start of the Sotalol. I however do know that when I have my ablation next month, that if it is suc...

Re: Deciding

Robo, Interesting point, I had my first CHF at a young age, but snored like a freight train back then. However when I had the sleep test back then, they did not say I had sleep apnea. Second time around, after fighting it for years, I do have sleep apnea. Is it a result of my heart failure? Or is th...
