Re: So who is ordering the Apple Watch?

I’ve been wearing an Apple Series 1 watch ever since my daughter upgraded to a Series 3. I like it more than I thought I would. However I’m not jumping out to get the Series 4 just because of the price. FitBit, Garmin and others have some pretty nice watches with similar capabilities for a lot less ...

Re: Replacement ICD

Glad the procedure went well. Yeah, purple would be a bit obnoxious but hopefully only temporarily annoying. I recently was able to get a new “cellular” monitor and now save the cost of a landline which we hardly used. Hope the healing is quick

Re: My Grumpy old woman side came out againre no

Chrissy, what a wonderful post. To me, essentially you are telling people to not give up and to resist the fear we all get. I have a couple of thoughts. First, I have always felt it was easy to assume the worst, or at least assume that prospects were worse than they actually turn out to be. I am now...

Re: New Implant impending.

Very very glad you are doing well. Sometimes the anticipation is worse than the actual procedure.

Take care !

Re: Implant ICD ?

My opinion only, there's a lot of smart people on here, but... I've had my ICD for over 7 years now and it has done nothing except some pacing to 60 bpm at night. And I think most recipients are that way, no shocks or adverse events. Sure there are many who have experienced some real troubles with I...

Re: Update on our members

Hi all and congrats to many of you for new grandkids and other significant life events. Just finishing up on a hectic work season for me and looking forward to a few days off. My heart is doing well, 7 yrs now on my ICD, possible replacement in 3 yrs. Have now done about 3 months of chemo for prosta...

Re: Fair?

Been thinking about “fair” quite a bit lately. Wondering how fair it is to get cancer on top of my other maladies. How fair is it to incur many $ in out of pocket expenses not covered by insurance? Why are some of the treatments so barbaric? The questions can go on and on. Then I seem t remind mysel...

Re: Uninduced coma question

I’m going to offer a different opinion. I think that a significant portion of us who have had cardiac arrests actually go into a non-induced coma for awhile and then wake up at some point in time later. In my case when I had a cardiac arrest, I almost immediately went into a coma. I remember nothing...

Re: o/t wheres Jim & sparkey

Mrag, I had a previous biopsy done 5 years ago. My PSA number was about 14 then. Supposed normal range is 0-4 for the PSA test. After nothing was found we quit testing, maybe not the wisest decision, but also knew that the PSA test was not always a reliable indicator of cancer. Went ahead and did an...

Hey Chrissy! Seems like good and bad have a way of finding each other. I do know you’re one of the strongest people I know. Not much to say other than “Hang in There!”

Re: o/t wheres Jim & sparkey

A New Challenge I’m still a little sore from the hernia surgery, but it went well, no complications. The other reason for the recent hospital visit was for a prostate biopsy, and there the result is a little different. Out of the 12 prostate samples taken, 6 showed active cancer cells so there isn’t...

Hi everybody! I never seemed to receive that PM, but no worries, doing okay here (mostly). I actually had surgery last Friday and recovering over the weekend. Always good to remember how much I hate juggling pain pills but have weaned myself off the hard stuff. Surgery was not heart related, did a h...
