Re: My Arrhythmia diary.

What doesn't kill you will make you stronger... That saying should definitely be amended for the heart patients. Maybe something like "what cures you...will eventually kill you" Sorry the amio is giving you grief, hardly seems fair what we deal with but then who said life was fair? Hang in Wendy gav...

Re: SCA Story

Interesting, however, in comparison to the many stories our membership have shared on this topic, I find his dissertation lacking in details, and quite cold and clinical. Frankly it doesn't really hold the readers interest and shares little on the topic of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. He should have focus...

Re: am I dead yet? ...

By the way, speaking of pulling up pants, my wife recently gave me a big wedgie...and I discovered I like it. Yep, sleeping and breathing a bit better with that wedge propping me up used as a pillow. Only stop breathing 24 minutes per hour now.

Re: am I dead yet? ...

... You can't let me down now!! So, pull up those big boy pants (not too tightly, of course) and do something fun in your day. Wendy Wow, yes Mam. I certainly wouldn't want to disobey you... point taken. As the infamous Ozchrissy was fond of saying, we all need a kick in the derriere once in awhile...

There's some scary stuff here sometimes.
So what can we do to make this site more welcoming and friendly to get new members to be active? Don't hold back, even if some of us need to step away or drop out. This site is to help newbies who need help and guidance...

Re: am I dead yet? ...

Leedur, thank you sooooooo much. It's hard, and there are times when things seem hopeless so your words of wisdom are helpful. I'm struggling, so knowing others can relate helps. I really am feeling survivors guilt, esp since our friends Ozchrissy and Codman recently passed. I feel like a fraud not ...

Re: am I dead yet? ...

How do you guys do it? I'm so angry and frustrated that I've got no motivation or desire to do much of anything. At best I walk the dogs a short stint (like 1/2 block) and sprinkle some water over plants in the yard, but no matter how I demean myself or try to force the issue, I cannot seem to do mu...

Re: ICD / CRT Discharge Instructions circa 2011 AD

I can't read the pdf file, it's blurry. When my new EP crammed my CRT-D into my shoulder a few years back I asked about instructions, warnings etc. He just shook his head and asked why, I'd just do as I pleased anyway. Seriously he insisted all the warnings are BS which by the way does not mean Bost...

Re: am I dead yet? ...

We've lost another great family member, Codman. I don't know about you guys but I'm getting survivors guilt. A friend took his dad to the ER for breathing issues. He was struggling for breath and believe me as a patient that's frightening so I cannot imagine how hard it is for family to witness. So ...

It deeply saddens me that we've lost another key member of our family. Codman was a great member and we will miss him immensely. My guess is Chrissy is already talking his leg off

Well you can be a pansy and drag it out but there's no real reason 95% of people who have a desk job can't go back to work the next day

Re: Lots Going on in the ICD World

It has been, shall we say dead around here for sure. How I get things moving is doubling up on my diuretics. So not to be a downer, bit your refrences are to say the least interesting. I've seen data and papers which contrdict those hypothesies. I don't have them close at hand but one example I read...
