Re: Roll Call...please check in

Been way too long since I've checked in with this great group. Spending too much time on the book of faces.
All is well with me.

Re: O/T Vacation question..???

If you like scenery, the national parks out west are great. Only been to Yosemite in California. Worth the trip.

As for beach resorts, I am fond of Rehoboth Beach Delaware and the rest of the DelMarVa peninusula. RB is good mix of typical beach life with great restaurants, shops, artists.

Re: It's Roll Call time! Please check in :)

I'm here and doing well. Been a few weeks since I've checked the board. Mostly because we sold our house and been looking for an apartment. Wife and I are downsizing after 17 years. No need for the suburban home anymore. Not to mention the costs. Its a good thing but time consuming. I cut my heart m...

Re: Heart Rate. Exercise and ICD

Bruce, Good luck with your weight loss program. I've struggled my whole life. Right now I am losing the battle and have put on almost 20 pounds since foot surgery in November. The lesson I learned is never have foot surgery during the holidays. Too much food and almost no movement at all. Every day ...

A 15 year old patient tells it like it is

This video has been shared a lot in a few patient communities. The patient does not have an icd, but what she says applies to anyone in a hospital!

Re: New Lead after 6 years

An article about lead extraction written for patients. Includes pic of extracted leads. http://circ.ahajournals.org/content/123/11/e378.full Some of the language is a bit too simplistic but it is a good description nevertheless. Did anyone ever read an ICD described as a "a metal can that contains e...

Re: Anyone? Which device is best for replacement?

Cameron, Thanks again for the info. I must admit, I was a little concerned that you were promoting your employer's product over the competition, but your second post was straight down the middle. I spent time looking at more info on the VIVA XT. It does look like an improvement. I found this page wi...

Re: Anyone? Which device is best for replacement?

Good discussion. Cameron, Thanks as always for your expert knowledge. When I got my implant, I was told I would get whatever the EP clinic was using that week. As I believe all clinics do, they rotate between companies to reduce the number of patients impacted by problems with the devices. In 2009, ...

I am a little late to this one but i feel a need to interrupt the good natured ribbing to dicuss this article from the original poster. Thanks to the original poster for linking to the article.
